/In this series of interviews with various different male strippers, your host 'Tom' will break down the intimate details of what its like to be a male stripper in Australia.
Today, our special guest has asked to remain anonymous for privacy reasons. So for the purpose of the interview he will be referred to as 'MS' (male stripper)
So for our second interview, I travelled to meet up with our guest at his apartment in the sunny city of Gold Coast, Australia. Situated near the heart of the city, with amazing views and modern stylish interior, this male stripper is certainly reaping the benefits of his lifestyle.

Tom:
So how did you get involved with male stripping?
MS:
I started about 4 or 5 years ago with a company based in Brisbane, The lady that run it approached me and said I would be a good addition for the show, she knew me from my fire spinning work. From there the show went under unfortunately, however I met a male stripper who had connections at Bad Boys Australia, and from there its history.
Tom:
So what made you want to get into this line of work?
MS:
To be honest it wasn't about the money at first, it was more about getting myself out there, but once the girls started to roll in it was game over.
Tom:
So what were doing before male striping?
MS:
I was a fire spinner/dancer and did a little gymnastics.
"Sometimes they grab and have quick little tug and suck."
Tom:
Whats the best part of your job?
MS:
Ah I would have to say the cash, the travelling, the free food and the girls.
Tom:
So where have you travelling to with your stripping so far?
MS:
I've been to Darwin, Sydney, all over Australia really, um I've been to Macao in China and also Bali in Indonesia.
Tom:
What are some of the low points of male stripping?
MS:
Girls getting angry when they don't get attention, or when they slap you randomly, or just when they grope you, big huge girls, groping you.
Tom:
Would you say your confidence has increased since you started male stripping?
MS:
Oh f**king 100%, but sometimes it's hard not to have an ego or be arrogant, so you gotta pull back.
Tom:
Do you think there is lot's of ego with the male strippers in the industry today?
MS:
With 'Magic Men' strippers? Yeah, they got the biggest ego's i tell ya, When we performed at their venue they were acting like "this is our territory" you know? Eyeing us up and stuff. So then we were like " let's smoke these guys" and after they saw us dance they were nice to us.
Tom:
So how do the girls act when you're dancing?
MS:
Usually the girls are pretty excited and they always thank me when I finish my show. Sometimes they grab and have quick little tug and suck.
"The old man who booked me asked if I smoked weed, then he gave me a bag of weed, made my night."
Tom:
Whats some of the wildest things you have experienced in this job?
MS:
I've had a girl just give me a blowjob in front of everybody in the room. That was crazy. Another time I had a womans birthday party job in a country town, and after the show, the old man who booked me asked if I smoked weed, then he gave me a bag of weed, made my night.
Tom:
Haha wow, whats your experience with drug use at strip bookings?
MS:
I've only had about 2 or 3 bookings where the girls have done rack (cocaine) off my body after the show
Tom:
Do you friends and family know what you do? What do they think?
MS:
Yeah my family are actually proud, because when I grew up I was the bad child, always running a muck. Then when I got into stripping it allowed me to be more responsible and financially independent.
Tom:
So you don't hide what you do to anyone?
MS:
F**k no, I don't a F**k what anyone thinks of me.
Tom:
Have you ever had a relationship since you started male stripping? Has this job affected this side of your life?
MS:
Yes I have a girlfriend, and she's supportive of what I do because I actually met her at a show, so she respect's what I do. However I never advertise having a girlfriend, because I have to sell a fantasy to the girls.
"ladies need to learn this, that we're not just a piece of meat."
Tom:
What about when you were dating? Did male stripping affect that?
MS:
Yeah actually, the last few dates I've been on the girls look at you as a stripper, and not as the person you are. They don't understand thats it's a character / persona that we just play with for 10 - 15mins. And It makes it hard because they say "your just a player" or "a man-whore" but really, we have feelings as well, and ladies need to learn this, that we're not just a piece of meat.
Tom:
Fair enough mate. So tell me some about some disaster moments whilst performing.
MS:
Yeah I've had lot's of those. I had a drunk girl on stage once, all she had to do was sit down on the chair. She got up like 3 times, and I had to keep sitting her down and it was screwing up the routine, so the 4th time she stood up, I just told her in front of everyone to get the f*ck off the stage.
I've fallen off the stage before, I thought there were stairs, but there wasn't, so I just hit the ground.
Another time I did a full monty show, but it was very cold... so you can imagine their reaction.
Tom:
Didn't some guy try to fight you on stage one time?
MS:
Oh yeah I totally forgot about that, So I got the girl who was getting married on stage at one of our shows. So as I'm dancing, her husband who was right at the back started to stare me down. He was a big ass Maori/Polynesian looking guy, and he got really jealous. So he tried to fight myself and all the boys on stage, then security came in.
Tom:
So whats some crazy stuff thats happened on tour with all the guys?
MS:
I think I was up in Darwin, and I was 5 tequila shots down and a few drinks, safe to say I was pissed. I was doing my glow stick spinning during my routine, I accidentally let go of the stick and It flew into the crowd and hit somebody.
It very common for all the boys to bring girls back to the rooms after the show. We have a code: "whats mine is yours and whats yours is mine" however if we all get girls it usually ends up in a "family orgy"
Tom:
Wow, thanks for sharing that info haha.
Well It's been a pleasure mate, thanks for taking the time to chat about your life!
MS:
haha too easy bro.
